In this study, the effects of using garlic powder as a growth and natural immune stimulant compared to the antibiotic oxytetracycline on growth and feeding parameters in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were investigated. For this purpose, three dietary treatments with two replications were prepared: control treatment, treatment containing 30 mg/kg garlic powder, and treatment containing 32 mg/kg antibiotic oxytetracycline.Fifty-four rainbow trout fry with an average weight of 35 grams were fed with the prepared treatments for 10 days. At the end of the experiment, the highest values of final average weight (186.66 grams), body weight gain (148.21 grams), percentage of body weight gain (415.26), specific growth rate (2.71 percent), and percentage of daily weight gain (2.47) were observed without significant differences in the antibiotic treatment. The highest value of condition factor was observed in the garlic powder treatment (17.11) and the highest survival rate (100) and net production (1284.12 grams) were observed in the control treatment. The highest feed efficiency ratio (0.89), protein efficiency (1.85), fat efficiency (5.94) and the lowest feed conversion ratio (0.95) were in the control treatment. The highest percentage of fat (21.98) and carcass dry matter (27.22) with a significant difference were in the antibiotic treatment and the highest percentage of carcass protein (65.89) without a significant difference were in the control treatment. As a result, if the effectiveness of garlic in improving fish immunity is proven, considering the absence of a significant difference between the antibiotic control treatment and garlic powder, garlic powder can be used to remove antibiotics and improve the immune system during a period of growth.
